Title:
Environmental Contributors and Biological Effects of Childhood Trauma with Discussion on DID and Psychopathy
Abstract:
This project describes environmental contributors of childhood trauma as well as the biological effects of the trauma as supported by literature-based research. Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and psychopathy are also discussed as possible outcomes of childhood trauma. Childhood trauma can have profound effects on the the brain and formation of mental disorders. DID is exclusively formed due to repeated childhood trauma and there is a correlation between the formation of psychopathy and childhood trauma. Treatments for general trauma, DID, and Psychopathy are explored.
