Abstract:

This project is focused on dissecting drill rap music and the impact it has had on the criminal justice system. This should provide a deeper understanding of where drill music comes from and how it originated. We look to explore the connection drill rap has to criminality, the influence it can have on the public, and the messages being spread in the lyrics.
