Title:
Market Research on the Awareness & Perception of Mental Health Disorders
Abstract:
Students in Marketing 439 were required to undertake a team-based client project in teams of 4-5 individuals. The process involved developing a market research plan including definition of the research problem, research design, questionnaire development, primary data collection, data analysis, and interpretation of statistical findings. Our client for this project is the Northern Arizona Healthcare Foundation. A survey was created and sent to college students in Northern Arizona in order to gain information about their perception and awareness of mental health conditions, available resources, and intervention strategies. The analysis of the survey was used to gain insight regarding college students’ interest in attending and donating to the Mental Health First Aid® program. This insight will help the Northern Arizona Healthcare Foundation build a business plan for targeting young adults in the region.
