Title:
Assessing Stress in College Students who use Cannabis and Nicotine
Abstract:
This study investigates how variables such as gender, stress, substance use motives, cannabis use, and nicotine e-cigarette use interact with each other in college students. In the study, there were several scales utilized to assess the variables which include scales on demographics, perceived stress, coping, substance use motives, and substance use. Data collection is still in progress, but results will be available at the time of presentation. With that being said, it is important to investigate the relationship between these variables as it may help to understand what specific challenges universities can target to help mediate the issues of substance use on college campuses.
