Tobacco Use & Oral Health in the Older Adult Population

Abstract:

The purpose of this project was to learn about the previous and current tobacco use in the older adult population living in Williams, Arizona. The overarching goal was to improve the oral health and overall health of this population. 
The methods used to implement this project included, internet research, surveys using a convenience sample, oral screenings using the DMFT Index, fluoride application, oral health instruction, and tobacco cessation.
